Purpose

The School is committed to engage in ongoing parental communication regarding every child’s progress, as parental involvement is a fundamental component of encouraging and motivating student engagement in education. Ongoing information regarding grades, current levels of instruction, and specific concerns is always provided through mid-quarter progress reports, quarterly report cards, parent conferences, parental involvement workshops and other forms of written and oral communication.

  • Create new professional opportunities for teachers, including ownership of the learning program at the school site.
  • Teachers hired by the School will be highly qualified, certified, and dedicated professionals.

  • Teachers and administrators will collaborate through professional learning communities to share responsibility for professional development. This powerful structure will allow for teacher ownership of professional opportunities as well as encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. Student data will be analyzed and used to inform the needs of the staff. Teachers will have rich discussions regarding what is most important in their instruction, aligning student data, and developing a plan for improvement. This collaborative method improves teacher effectiveness, enhances the working environment for the staff, and promotes student achievement through targeted goals.
