Accountability

Teachers will provide evidence of Florida Standards instruction in their daily lesson plans as well as in their every day classroom instruction. Teachers will be required to map daily lessons to specific standards and demonstrate that every standard has been instructed as effectively as possible.

“Covering” the standards will not be sufficient at The School. Emphasis is placed on instruction that is “an inch wide and a mile deep,” demonstrating each standard taken to mastery. Differentiated instruction and strategies specific to ESE and ELL students will also be highlighted in daily lesson plans. Administrators at The School will implement a daily classroom walk-through to ensure that standards are the forefront of instruction and that research-based strategies are being implemented.
